Principles of the publication’s ethics
The ABE Journal’s Editorial, published by the Warsaw University of Technology Business School declares to follow the highest ethical standards for scientific publications as defined by the international organization COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). Articles that do not meet the above-mentioned standards will not be published in ABE Journal.
Rules for authors
Texts submitted to the editorial office must be original and not simultaneously submitted for publication in another journal, publishing house or online. They also cannot violate the copyrights of third parties within the meaning of the Act of February 4, 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights (original text: Dz. U. 1994 No. 24 item 83, consolidated text: Dz.U. 2016, item 666).
The editors strongly oppose acts such as plagiarism (copying someone else’s work completely or in part and claiming it as own); ghost writing (omitting the authorship of people who created the publication) guest authorship (attributing authorship to people who did not participate in creation of the work) and self-plagiarism (republication of fragments of own previously published works as new works, without providing information about it).
All indications of the above practices, violations and breaches of ethics in scientific research will be documented; the institutions employing the authors will be informed about detected cases.
All articles submitted to ABE Journal are checked using an anti-plagiarism programme.
In case of a collective work, the authors are required to indicate the percentage contribution to the writing of the article on each author.
The authors in an appropriate footnote should disclose information about the sources of funding for publications (e.g. grants, subsidies).
Rules for reviewers
The reviewers are required not to disclose any information regarding submitted texts.
The reviewers evaluate the submitted text objectively within the set deadline, and present their opinion clearly and transparently in the appropriate review form.
If the reviewer considers that their qualifications and scientific experience are not sufficient for a proper, unbiased assessment of the article, they should inform the scientific editor or their substitute and resign from undertaking the review process.
If copyright infringement or plagiarism on the part of the author is detected in the reviewed text, the reviewer is obliged to report this fact the Editor-in-Chief.
Rules for editors of ABE Journal
Articles submitted to the ABE Journal are assessed based on their originality, contribution to the scientific field and practice, and the theme of the journal, without regard to the author’s background, political views, gender, race, sexual orientation, or religion.
The Editorial Board shall have an independent and impartial publishing policy, and shall make decisions on accepting papers for publication in an open and transparent manner.
The editors ensure the selection of reviewers and supervise the entire revision process.
The editor prevent conflicts of interest that may arise because of ties (professional, familial, collegial) between the reviewer and the author.
The editors ensure confidentiality and security of personal data processing (see Privacy Policy).
The editors guarantee that all information related to submitted texts is confidential until they are published.
